Patrician Leadership Team

At the 2016 General Chapter held in August a new leadership team was elected for the term 31st October 2016 to the 31st October 2022.

Br Nicholas is currently the Principal of Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, Fairfield, Sydney.
Br George Mangara is currently the Principal of Delany College, Dormaa, Ghana.
Br Peter Ryan is the Province Leader of the Australian and Papua New Guinea Province.
Br George Xavier is the Director of Novices at Bangalore, India.
Br Stephen Sweetman is the Congregation secretary, archivist, and procurator.

Br Peter Ryan

Peter was born December 21st, 1951 in Sydney and attended Patrician Brothers Primary School at Forest Lodge and later at Holy Cross College, Ryde. He was professed on February 21st, 1971 and took final vows on December 20th, 1977. Peter holds a B.A. Dip Ed from Macquarie University, Grad. Diploma in Religious Studies from Catholic Teachers’ College, Sydney and a Diploma in Religious Formation from St. Louis University, USA. Before assignment to PNG in 1991, he taught in Patrician secondary schools in Sydney and was principal at John Paul II Senior High. Peter was province leader from 1992 to 1998. Until his reappointment to province leadership in 2013, he ministered in PNG as teacher, formator and in congregational administration. His interests are multi-culturalism, literature and the arts. Peter has participated in General Chapters since 1986.

Br George Xavier

George Xavier was born in Karimannoor, Kerala, in 1965. He completed his pre-University course in his home town before joining the Congregation in 1984. He made his first profession in 1987 and final profession in 1994. He taught in Mussoorie  and Dehradun for seven years before becoming the Novice Director in Bengaluru. He was also the director of scholastics for two years in Trichy before he became the Director of Vidya Deep College for Theology, Bengaluru. He graduated in Economics from St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, M.A (Eco) from Madras University, B.Ed from St. Xavier’s Institute of Education, Mumbai, M.Sc Psychological Counselling from Sampurna,  a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Sciences from DVK, Bengaluru. He is currently the director of Novices in Bengaluru and the Community Leader. He attended the last two General Chapters in Kamagut in 2004 and Coonoor in 2010.
